Wilma K. Morgenstern, 91, died October 25, 2011 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Great Bend, Kansas. She was born March 7, 1920 at Otis, Kansas, the daughter of William and Teresa (Brack) Moore. She married Martin Morgenstern December 26, 1938 at Otis. A lifelong Barton County resident, Mrs. Morgenstern owned Wilmas Antiques in Hoisington for fourteen years. Mrs. Morgenstern was a member of First United Methodist Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, both of Hoisington. She enjoyed auctions, bingo, fishing, and traveling. Survivors include her husband, Martin Morgenstern, of the home; and one sister, Twila Irwin and her husband Harold, Topeka, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Woodrow Moore. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home. The Reverend Kris Brinlee will officiate. Burial will be in Hoisington Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 26, 2011 and from 9:00 a.m. to service time Thursday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to First United Methodist Church or American Diabetes Association, in care of the funeral home.
