Willie Jones, Jr., 77, died January 30, 2008 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Great Bend, Kansas. Willie was born November 2, 1930 at Abilene, Kansas, the son of Willie and Blanche Patterson Jones. He was a maintenance worker for Vernon Nuss and Von Hampton. Willie was a resident of Great Bend most of his life. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Great Bend, Baptized into Christ January 16, 1966 at Trinity Lutheran Church by Pastor K. W. Behnken and served on the Altar Guild for 32 years. Survivors include a son, Cleo Jones, Wichita, Kansas; a daughter Darlene "Faye" Jones, Wichita, Kansas; one brother, Donald Jones, Albuquerque, New Mexico; and two sisters, Marcella James and Blanche Robinson, both of Great Bend, Kansas. Willie was preceded in death by a daughter, Diana Jones; eight brothers; and two sisters. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, February 4, 2008 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Great Bend, with the Reverend James A. Strasen officiating. Interment will be in the Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend, Kansas. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, February 3, 2008 at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church, in care of the funeral home.
