Virginia Ella Elliott, 77, died at her Great Bend, Kansas, residence on December 22, 2006. She was born the daughter of James and Edna Rauhoff Pierce November 28, 1929 at Arkansas City, Kansas. She married Paul Elliott and they later divorced. She was a homemaker, and was a Great Bend resident since 1966, coming from Arkansas City. Survivors include three sons, Gene Elliott, Myrtle Creek, Oregon; Terry "Tom" Tipton, and Don Elliott, Great Bend, Kansas, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Harry Pierce, Ivan Pierce, Cecil Pierce, James Pierce and Don Pierce; and one sister, Barbara Kloxin. Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2006 in Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend, Kansas. The Reverend Doyle Smith will officiate. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 26, 2006 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, December 27, 2006 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Bryant Funeral Home. A memorial fund has been established with the First Southern Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
