Viola L. Deutsch, 95, died September 18, 2014 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born May 1, 1919, in Otis she was the daughter of Fritz and Ethel (Foos) Kerbs. On June 19, 1938, she married Alvin Deutsch in Otis. He died on June 10, 1977. A resident of Great Bend since 1938, she was a homemaker. Mrs. Deutsch was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Great Bend. Survivors include one daughter, Judy Mitchell of Golden, Colo.; one sister, Mary Ann Stone of Lee's Summit, Mo.; one brother, Carl Kerbs of Saratoga, Wyo.; five grandchildren, Gwen Cade, Daiquiri Cade-Kovalcik, Craig Cade, Gregory Cade, and Misty Florez; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry and Donald Deutsch; and by a brother, Fred Kerbs. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Monday, September 22, 2014 at Bryant Funeral Home with the Reverend Mark P. Galbraith officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Great Bend. Friends may call from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, September 21, 2014at the funeral home, with family receiving friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church in care of the funeral home.
