Tyler Charles Armstrong, 17, died April 7, 2011 in Reno County, Kansas. He was born August 5, 1993 at Hoisington, Kansas, the son of Russell Charles and Carol Elaine (McHenry) Armstrong. A lifetime Arlington, Kansas, area resident, he was a junior at Fairfield High School. He was a member of FFA, the tennis team, and was manager of the football team. He loved his car and enjoyed four-wheeling, jet-skiing, camping, and video games. Survivors include his parents, Russell and Carol Armstrong, of the home; two sisters: Kaylie Armstrong, Arlington; and Jessica Armstrong, of the home; maternal grandmother, Maxine McHenry, Turon, Kansas; and paternal grandparents, Jerry and Rose Kane, Peru, Illinois. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Darren Gindlesberger and Anthony William Armstrong; and his maternal grandfather, Charles McHenry, Sr. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Bryant Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Sweany officiating. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, April 11, 2011 at Bryant Funeral Home.
