Thomas Allen Hermansen, 76, died October 21, 2011 at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, Kansas. He was born July 18, 1935 at Hay Spring, Nebraska, the son of Victor and Agnes (Johnsen) Hermansen. He married Diana Ringstrom December 26, 1959 at Pico Rivera, California. A Great Bend resident for forty-one years, coming from Lincoln, Nebraska, Mr. Hermansen was administrator for Great Bend Manor for twenty-one years. Mr. Hermansen was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Great Bend. Survivors include his wife, Diana Hermansen, of the home; two sons: Eric Hermansen, LaGrange, Kentucky; Mark Hermansen and wife Kristine, Great Bend; one daughter, Karen Jones and companion Mike Burgess, Great Bend; one sister, Eva Stallsworth, Plentywood, Montana; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Bob Hermansen, Don Hermansen, and Lloyd Hermansen. Memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 5, 2011 at First Presbyterian Church. The Reverend Dr. Scott V. Solether will officiate. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are requested to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
