Thelma Elaine Hannaford, 75, died August 6, 2011 at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born February 18, 1936 at Agra, Kansas, the daughter of LeRoy and Lois May Mona (Smith) Stockham. She married Calvin Ellwood Hannaford April 1, 1958 at Oakley, Kansas. He died October 20, 1996. A Great Bend resident since 1966, coming from Colby, Kansas, Mrs. Hannaford was a homemaker. Survivors include one son, Dennis R. Hannaford and wife Teresa, Great Bend; one daughter, Nyla J. Lonnon, Great Bend; seven grandchildren: Dawn Holloway and husband Jay, Great Bend; Douglas Meredith, Great Bend; Teri Charles and husband Cain, Great Bend; Randi Legleiter and husband Mike, Rush Center, Kansas; Lee Jacobs, Great Bend; Kara Lonnon, Rush Center; and Amanda Lonnon and fianc James, Great Bend; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers; two sisters; and one grandson, Brian Lonnon. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at Bryant Funeral Home with the Reverend Dick Ogle officiating. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to American Heart Association, Barton County Relay for Life, or Arthritis Foundation, in care of the funeral home.
