Terry C. Whiting, 52, died September 5, 2010 at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, Kansas. He was born January 25, 1958 at Webb City, Missouri, the son of Carl and Alta May (Britt) Whiting. He married Cheryl Brandt, November 11, 1978 at Great Bend. An Ellinwood, Kansas, resident since 1977, coming from Great Bend, Kansas, Mr. Whiting was employed as a driller, working for various oil and gas production companies. He attended the U.C.C. Church in Ellinwood, Kansas. Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Whiting, of the home; three sons: Jason Whiting, Great Bend; Justin Whiting, Dodge City; Chris Whiting, Ellinwood; three sisters: Susan Keenan, Great Bend; Lori Carris, Pawnee Rock; Cathy Gahn, McPherson; two brothers: Tony Whiting, Great Bend; Joe Whiting, Hutchinson; and one grandchild: Caidyn Whiting. Funeral serices will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 10, 2010 at Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend, with Pastor Larry Young officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend. Friends may call from 9:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, September 9, 2010, at the funeral home with family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Memorials are requested to the Terry C.
