Steven Michael Erwin, 53, died December 21, 2009 at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, Kansas. He was born May 14, 1956 at Great Bend, Kansas, the son of Bert and Sharon (Southard) Erwin. He was a resident of Wichita, Kansas, since 1990, coming from Great Bend. Steven was baptized at First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his parents, Bert and Sharon Erwin, Great Bend, Kansas; one brother, Mark Erwin, Overland Park, Kansas; two sisters: Jana Durfee and husband Marc, Wichita, Kansas; and Pamela Roemer and husband Mark, St. Paul, Minnesota; grandmother, Claudie "Dolly" Southard, Hoisington, Kansas; one niece, Abigail Streit; and two nephews: Benjamin Streit and Angus Durfee. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Foundry Methodist Church, Great Bend. The Reverend Kevin Baxter will officiate. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to Foundry Methodist Church or Mental Health Association of South-Central Kansas, both in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
