Shirley Mae Tesch, 72, died Saturday, June 27, 2009 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Great Bend, Kansas. She was born January 12, 1937 at Montrose, Colorado, the daughter of Harvey Samuel and Lucille W. (Barrett) Foster. She married Robert C. Tesch April 22, 1956 at Russell, Kansas. He died October 20, 1992. A resident of Great Bend since 1967, coming from Russell, Mrs. Tesch was a cook for Woodhaven Care Center, Ellinwood, and for the Barton County Sheriff's Office. Mrs. Tesch was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Great Bend. Survivors include two sons: Robert C. Tesch II and wife, Pam, Hutchinson, Kansas; and Randy Tesch and wife, Deb, Hoisington, Kansas; one daughter, Raelina Hatfield and husband, Ronald, Hutchinson, Kansas; four brothers: Larry Foster, Russell, Kansas; Glenn Foster, Nevada, Missouri; Ronald Foster, Lincoln, Nebraska; and Kent Foster, Russell, Kansas; fourteen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Robin Tesch Wolford and Amanda Tesch; and one brother, Gary Foster. Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, with Chaplain Randy Turner officiating. Inurnment will be in Great Bend Cemetery at a later date.
