Shirley L. Jones, age 60, died Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Clara Barton Hospital, Hoisington, Kansas. She was born February 12, 1952 at Topeka, KS. the daughter of Alois and Pauline (Waldschmidt) Kisner. Shirley was a longtime Hoisington resident coming from Ellis. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Hoisington. On May 17, 1969 she married William Clayton Jones at Hoisington. Survivors include her husband of the home, two sons, Shannon Jones and William Jones, Jr; Hoisington, one daughter, Rebecca L. Starkey and her husband Jess, Hoisington, five grandchildren, Seth Jones, Sawyer Starkey, Jessica Starkey, Taylor Jones and Madison Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Rita Brown, Zita Davis; and infant son, J.D. Jones. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Hoisington with Father Francis Oroffa as Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. John cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday, February 28, from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm with a vigil service starting at 7:00 pm all at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington.
