Shirley Dreiling, 72, died December 2, 2008 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Lawrence, Kansas. She was born August 16, 1936 at Garber, Oklahoma, the daughter of J. Webb and Nettie (Wilson) Anderson. She married Norman "Nick" Dreiling September 3, 1955 at Plainville, Kansas. He died May 21, 2008. Mrs. Dreiling was a resident of Ellinwood and Great Bend, Kansas for thirty-seven years, coming from Russell, Kansas. She was a homemaker and owner-operator of Foxy Lady Dress Shop, Great Bend. Mrs. Dreiling was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick, the Altar Society, Pilot Club, Women's AGLOW, and a charter member and past president of Delta Tau, ESA, all of Great Bend. Surviving Mrs. Dreiling include two sons: Steven Dreiling and wife, Jan, Lawrence, Kansas; and Jayson Dreiling and wife, Penni, Ellinwood, Kansas; one daughter, Jeri Mitchell and husband, Larry, Pratt, Kansas; one sister, Carol June Rosin, New Braunfels, Texas; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lester Anderson and Delbert Anderson. Altar Society Rosary will be at 4:00 p.m. and a vigil service will be at 7:30 p.m., Friday, December 5, 2008 at Bryant Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 6, 2008 at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Father Floyd McKinney will be celebrant. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery North. Friends may call from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, December 5, 2008 at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials in Mrs. Dreiling's name have been established with St. Jude's Childrens Hospital, in care of the funeral home.
