Sharon A. Stevenson, 53, died March 8, 2010 at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born October 18, 1956 at Great Bend, Kansas, the daughter of Elmer and Doris (Crawford) Boyd. She married Larry Stevenson May 18, 1980 at Great Bend. A lifetime resident of Barton County, Mrs. Stevenson was a department manager for Wal-Mart. Survivors include her husband, Larry Stevenson, of the home; four sons: James Stevenson and wife Jennifer; Matthew Stevenson and wife Cassie; Craig Stevenson and wife Staci; and Shane Stevenson, all of Great Bend, Kansas; one daughter, Ashley Stevenson, Great Bend, Kansas; one brother, Mike Boyd, Colorado; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Boyd. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 12, 2010 at Bryant Funeral Home. Pastor Don Paden will officiate. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, March 11 and from 9:00 a.m. to service time Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are requested to Barton County Relay for Life or CKMC Foundation for the Benefit of the Heartland Cancer Center, both in care of the funeral home.
