Ryan Hugh Dunlap, 39, died March 5, 2009 at Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend, Kansas. He was born November 25, 1969 at Great Bend, Kansas, the son of Rodney Hugh and Sharon (Crupper) Dunlap. He was an elementary school physical education teacher at Jefferson Elementary School and was a member of the Unified School District 428 athletic training staff. Mr. Dunlap was a lifetime resident of Great Bend, earning an associates degree from Barton County Community College and a bachelors degree from Southwestern College, Winfield, Kansas. Mr. Dunlap was a member of the Church of Christ, Great Bend. Survivors include his mother, Sharon Dunlap, Great Bend, Kansas; two sisters: Cindy Miller and husband, Todd, Hutchinson, Kansas; and Cheryl Rugan and husband, Robert, Great Bend, Kansas; nieces and nephews: Jarrod and Candace Miller and Wyatt and Olivia Rugan; and companion Heather Thomas and her children, Alyssa and Austin Wiehl, Great Bend, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his father, Rodney Hugh Dunlap. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at the Highland Convention Center, 3017 10th Street, Great Bend. Byron Barrientez will officiate. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery North. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday, March 9, 2009, with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to the Ryan H.
