Ruth G. Clair, 93, of Sedalia, Missouri, passed from this world on May 28, 2011, in Warrensburg, Missouria, where she had resided since 1998. She was the oldest of seven children, (Margaret, Grant, Elinor, Janice, Martha, and Robert) born to Mark Grant and Golda Mae Hultz McIntosh on July 25, 1917, in Upland, Indiana. She graduated from Southwestern College at Winfield, KS. in the spring of 1939 and began a 50 year career in Kansas public school music and private piano teaching. She married Rees E. Clair on January 3, 1945 at Bushton, KS. He died June 29, 1994. Mrs. Clair is survived by children, Alicia Clair and husband William Massie, Topeka, KS, Carol and husband Michael Spencer, Warrensburg, MO, Michael Clair and wife Mary Ann (Luebbers)Clair, Bushton, KS, and Mary Parks, Ulysses, KS. She leaves behind grandchildren Brian Spencer and wife Elisa, Olathe, KS, Emily Purnell and husband David, Kansas City, MO, Kristin Parks, Liberal, KS, Matthew Parks, Liberal, KS, Tyler Parks, Ulysses, KS, John Massie and wife Wendy, St. Joseph, MO, Jennifer Massie Weets and husband Brian, St. Joseph, MO. She also leaves nine great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3:30 p.m. May 31, 2011 at Holy Name Catholic Church, Bushton, KS, with Father Dwight Birket presiding. Interment will be at Holy Name Cemetery, Bushton, KS. Visitation will be at the Curch from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. with the family present. Memorials may be sent to Food for the Poor, in care of Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington, KS.
