Ruby Rebecca Lamb, 91, died June 26, 2007, at Woodhaven Care Center, Ellinwood, Kansas. Ruby was born October 22, 1915 at Coldwater, Kansas, the daughter of Joseph and Lois Dickerson Crowder. On December 16, 1931 she married, Murray Lamb at El Dorado, Kansas. He died July 3, 1991. She was a homemaker. She was a resident of Great Bend and Albert, Kansas since 1948. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Great Bend and the Albert Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, Dean Lamb and wife Glenda of Willow Springs, Missouri and Keith Lamb and wife Jenny of Great Bend, Kansas; one daughter, Shirley Steffen and husband Duane of Hays, Kansas; one brother, Dr. H.D. Crowder of Wichita, Kansas; one sister, Bethany Powers of Fulton, Texas; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Crowder, Delbert Crowder and Joe Crowder. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 29, 2007 at the First Christian Church, Great Bend, Kansas. Entombment will be at the Mausoleum at the Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend, Kansas. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 28, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church Building Fund or Golden Belt Home Health & Hospice in care of the funeral home.
