Rosie Dolores Hejny, 80, died October 23, 2007 at Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend. Rosie was born May 2, 1927, in rural Barton County, Kansas, the daughter of N.J. and Mary Horyna Gleissner. On October 10, 1946, she married Lloyd Henry Hejny at Hoisington, Kansas. He died on October 30, 2002. She was a homemaker. Rosie was a member of First United Methodist Church, Great Bend. Survivors include a son, Larry Hejny and wife, Billie, of Great Bend; a daughter, Janis Link of Great Bend; a sister, Irene Holopirek of Timken; four grandchildren, Michael Link and wife Kristi of Newton, Kansas, Steven Link of Hutchinson, Kansas, Ginger Howard and husband Michael of San Diego, California and Jenna Hejny of Olathe, Kansas; and two great-grandchildren, Allison and Emma Link. Rosie was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian Durbin and a son-in-law, Mark Link. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 26, 2007 at First United Methodist Church, Great Bend. Interment will be in the Great Bend Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 25, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to First United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
