Rose C. Bahr, 90, died August 29, 2008 at Sedgwick Healthcare Center, Sedgwick, Kansas. She was born January 14, 1918 at Pfeifer, Kansas, the daughter of Alois "Albert" and Katherine (Meder) Jacobs. She married Paul F. Bahr January 7, 1946 at Pfeifer. He died August 28, 1999. Mrs. Bahr was a homemaker and a longtime Olmitz, Kansas, resident. Mrs. Bahr was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church and the Altar Society, Olmitz. Survivors include one son, John Bahr and wife, Ann, Wichita, Kansas; three daughters: Theresa Herrman and husband, Ron, Austin, Texas; Barbara Kuntz and husband, Leon, Park, Kansas; and Florence Curtis, Wichita, Kansas; eleven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Bill Jacobs, Jerome Jacobs, and Clem Jacobs; one infant brother, Joseph Jacobs; and five sisters: Alice Jacobs, Frances Jacobs, Pauline Breit, Mary Haberman, and Dorothy Dreiling. Wake service will be at 7:00 p.m., Monday, September 1, 2008 followed by an Altar Society Rosary at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at St. Ann Catholic Church. Celebrant will be Father Ultan Murphy. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. Memorials are requested to St. Ann Catholic Church or Meals on Wheels of Great Bend, both in care of the funeral home.
