Roberta J. Welch, 70, died June 19, 2014 at Hays Medical Center. Born December 29, 1943, in Bronx, New York, she was the daughter of Robert and Florence (Frank) McCoy. On July 30, 1984, she married Jerry Welch. A Great Bend resident since 1986, coming from Nevada, Missouri, she was a bookkeeper for the State of Missouri Department of Revenue. She loved God, family, golf, and her flowers. Survivors include her husband, Jerry Welch, of the home; one son, Vince Latona of Prospect, Oregon; one daughter, Lorrie Latona of Manteca, California; one stepson, Lonnie Welch of Nevada, Missouri; one stepdaughter, Leslie Welch of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Florence Lane of Buckner, Missouri and Barbara Delagard and her husband Dennis of Sunset Beach, North Carolina; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 23, 2014 at Bryant Funeral Home with Pastor Don Paden officiating. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Balltown Cemetery in Horton, Missouri. Friends may call from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, June 22, 2014 and 9:00 a.m. to service time Monday, at Bryant Funeral Home.
