Richard Joel Zamarripa, 57, died January 14, 2013 at St. John Medical Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born December 14, 1955 at Great Bend, Kansas, the son of Catarino and Felipa (Briones) Zamarripa. He married Jannett Kuhlenschmidt in 2003 at Tulsa, Oklahoma. She died June 6, 2012. A Sapulpa, Oklahoma, resident, Mr. Zamarripa was a cook for Denny's Restaurant and also did welding and leather work. Mr. Zamarripa was of the Christian faith. Survivors include two sons: Christopher Zamarripa of Oklahoma; and Jeremiah Zamarripa and his wife Katrina, Great Bend; one daughter: Tosha Perales and her husband Salvador, Great Bend; two brothers: Paul Zamarripa, Great Bend; and Steve Zamarripa, Duncan, Oklahoma; eight sisters: Carmen Skelly, Tulsa; Mary Ingram, Great Bend; Rose Sands, Dodge City, Kansas; Josie Morrison, Sand Springs, Oklahoma; Isabel Earegood, Great Bend; Angie Ingram, Great Bend; Rebecca Morrison, Hutchinson, Kansas; and Vivian Bahr, Great Bend; and eight grandchildren: Mya Scholz, Damion Zamarripa, Jaycee Zamarripa, Daise Zamarripa, Skyler Zamarripa, Hannah Perales, Vanessa Perales, and Cristian Perales. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Pantaleon Zamarripa, Richard Zamarripa, Peter Zamarripa, and Frank Zamarripa; and one sister, Ramona Zamarripa. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 18, 2013 at Bryant Funeral Home with the Reverend Dick Ogle officiating. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery North.
