Phyllis Y. Nulton, 80, died March 23, 2012 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas. She was born January 12, 1932 at McAllen, Texas, the daughter of Pierce and Gertrude (Phillips) Wikoff. She married Tom Nulton October 21, 1951 at Hays, Kansas. A Hoisington resident since 1967, coming from Hays, Mrs. Nulton was a clerk for Ann's Dress Shop, Hays, and Verna's, Hoisington; and was office mananger for more than twenty-five years at State Farm Insurance, Hoisington. Mrs. Nulton was a member of First United Methodist Church, Hoisington. She loved her children, gardening, fishing, camping, and the outdoors. Survivors include her husband, Tom Nulton, of the home; two sons: Rick Nulton and his wife Darlene, Hoisington; and Mike Nulton and his wife Susie, Allen, Kansas; one brother, Wesley Wikoff and his wife Jane, Hays; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at First United Methodist Church, Hoisington. The Reverend Kris Brinlee will officiate. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Inurnment will be at a later date at Memorial Gardens, Hays. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the First United Methodist Church Kitchen Restoration Fund, in care of Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home.
