Pauline Julia Thomason, 92, died April 12, 2011 at Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend, Kansas. She was born December 26, 1918 at Red Rock, Oklahoma, the daughter of Leonard and Libby (Bridwell) Ward. She married Solomon Leedy Thomason October 15, 1935 at Ponca City, Oklahoma. He died July 4, 1994. A Great Bend resident most of her life, Mrs. Thomason was a homemaker. Mrs. Thomason was a member of First Street Church of God, Hoisington, Kansas. Survivors include two sisters: Mildred Bullard, Great Bend; and Marie McNett, Great Bend; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Pearl Ebert and Dorothy Frost; and one foster daughter, Lynn Adams. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Bryant Funeral Home. The Reverend Dick Ogle will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Friends may call from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, April 15, 2011 and from 9:00 a.m. to service time Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials are requested to the American Alzheimer's Association, in care of the funeral home.
