Paul J. Schneider, 77, died August 11, 2008 at Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend, Kansas, after a short illness. He was born September 28, 1930 at Great Bend, Kansas, the son of Bernard J. and Helen V. (Schreiber) Schneider. He married Rose F. Rziha January 3, 1951 at Odin, Kansas. She died November 20, 1991. A lifetime resident of Olmitz, Kansas, Mr. Schneider was a farmer. Survivors include two sons: Norbert Schneider and wife, Terry, Hoisington, Kansas; and Robert Schneider and wife, Kathy, Olmitz, Kansas; four daughters: Lois McLeland and husband, David, Hoisington, Kansas; Linda Bahr and husband, Gerald, Otis, Kansas; Sheila Govert and husband, Dave, Cunningham, Kansas; and Kim Higgason and husband, Scott, Otis, Kansas; one sister, Loretta Steiner and husband, Hubert, Odin, Kansas; twenty-four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Schneider was preceded in death by one grandson, Corey Bahr; two brothers, Bernard Schneider and Robert Schneider; and two sisters, infant twin sister Clarissa Schneider, and Sister Helen Delores Schneider, O. P. Wake service will be at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 14, 2008 at St. Ann Catholic Church, Olmitz, Kansas. Father Ultan Murphy will be celebrant. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home.
