Patsy Gayle McClary, 76, died January 12, 2014 at Great Bend Regional Hospital, Great Bend, Kansas. She was born July 18, 1937 at Lyons, Kansas, the daughter of W. M. and Edna Lucille (Golightly) Barnett. She married Robert J. McClary January 22, 1956 at Great Bend. He died April 4, 2012. A Great Bend resident most of her life, she was office manager and bookkeeper for Standard Liquor until her retirement. Mrs. McClary was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church. She was a volunteer for Salvation Army, Heartland Shares, and the Hoisington Tornado Relief. Survivors include one son, Eric McClary, Great Bend; one brother, W. Ron Barnett and his wife Kathleen, El Dorado Hills, California; and two grandchildren: Keari Lynn Schmidt, Kansas City, Missouri; and Kaden Lee Peters, Lindsborg, Kansas. She was preceded in death by one son, Matthew Shawn McClary; and one daughter, Heather Dawn Peters. Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 18, 2014 at St. John's Episcopal Church with Father Kevin Schmidt officiating. Inurnment will be in Great Bend Cemetery at a later date. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Golden Belt Humane Society, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
