Patricia "Pat" Rowe, 74, died October 28, 2010 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Great Bend, Kansas. She was born June 20, 1936 at Winfield, Kansas, the daughter of Clarence and Christine (Cranston) Sumner. She married Bill Rowe June 5, 1954 at Winfield. A Great Bend resident since 1968, coming from Winfield, Mrs. Rowe was a homemaker. Mrs. Rowe was a member of Lake Barton Ladies Golf Association. A loving mother, wife, and grandmother, she was an avid golfer. She also loved to play bridge and was a member of many bridge groups throughout her life. Survivors include her husband, Bill R. Rowe, of the home; three sons: Bob Rowe and wife Charlotte, Enid, Oklahoma; Bill Rowe and wife Brenda, Wichita, Kansas; and Greg Rowe and wife Jo, Great Bend; one daughter, Kris Smolik and husband Ken, Great Bend; nine grandchildren: Misti Schmidt, Bobby Rowe, Aaron Rowe, Jeff Rowe, Ryan Rowe, Stacy Bouse, Marc Rowe, Scott Smolik, Michael Smolik; and thirteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 1, 2010 at First Southern Baptist Church. The Reverend Dr. Doyle Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, October 31, 2010 with the family receiving friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, October 31, 2010 at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to First Southern Baptist Church, in care of the funeral home.
