Patricia Ann "Martha" Miller died December 31, 2009 at Kaye Pogue Hospice Center of Salina, Kansas. She was born August 6, 1933 at Larned, Kansas, the daughter of Walter W. and Virginia Bell (Burns) Ratliff. She was a resident of Great Bend since 1952 moving from Larned, Kansas. She was a homemaker and secretary-treasurer of Golden Belt Diabetes Association. Mrs. Miller was of the Christian Faith. She was a 1951 Larned High School graduate. She was also an avid bingo player and enjoyed helping out her family in their many business ventures. She is survived by her husband, Glenn A. Miller of the home; one son, Scott A. Miller, Topeka, Kansas; two daughters, Valerie A. Miller, Hutchinson, Kansas and Julie A. Straub and husband, Larry, Salina, Kansas; one sister, Iva Behrens, Great Bend, Kansas; four grandchildren, Christopher Hagler and wife, Tracy, Kansas City, Missouri; Brantley Straub, Salina, Kansas; Vanessa Miller and husband, John, Hutchinson, Kansas; and Hillary Straub, Salina, Kansas; three great-grandchildren, John Miller, Jr., Myles Hagler and Ambrosia Miller; one step-great-granddaughter, Vanessa Hagler. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend, Kansas with the Reverend Don Paden officiating. Interment will be at the Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend, Kansas. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 5, 2010, from 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, January 6, 2010, 9:00 a.m. to service time at Bryant Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the Great-grandchildren's Education Fund in care of the funeral home.
