Pat Chiater Lightfoot, 71, died July 2, 2012 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born October 29, 1940 at Rivesville, West Virginia, the daughter of John and Dorothy (Haught) Chiater. She married Marion F. Lightfoot January 23, 1983 at Fairmont, West Virginia. A Great Bend, Kansas, resident since 1989, coming from Buffalo, New York, Mrs. Lightfoot was a homemaker. Mrs. Lightfoot was a member of First Christian Church and Bungalow FCE, Great Bend. She enjoyed golf, bowling, and gardening. Survivors include her husband, Marion F. Lightfoot, of the home; two sons: Kip McGinnis and his wife Becky, Rivesville, West Virginia; and Jeff McGinnis and his wife Kim, Baxter, West Virginia; one daughter, Tami McGinnis, Paris, France; one step-son, Keith Lightfoot, Fort Collins, Colorado; two step-daughters: Lisa Vetter and her husband Randy, Arkansas City, Kansas; and Marya Bosley, Augusta, Kansas; three sisters: Shirley Russ, Fairmont, West Virginia; Jeanie Morris, Baxter, West Virginia; and Frances Longfellow, Monongah, West Virginia; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, James Chiater. Memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Bryant Funeral Home. The Reverend William F. Johnson will officiate. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are requested to First Christian Church, in care of the funeral home.
