Norma Waters, 89, died August 21, 2008 at Retreat at Church Ranch, Westminster, Colorado. She was born December 22, 1918 at Emporia, Kansas, the daughter of John and Bertha (Brown) Taylor. She married Raymond A. Waters June 8, 1940 at Emporia. He died December 18, 1968. A teacher for Unified School District 428, until her retirement, Mrs. Waters was a resident of Westminster, Colorado, since 1993, coming from Great Bend, Kansas. Mrs. Waters was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Great Bend, and the Kansas State Teachers' Association. Survivors include one son, Errol Waters and wife, Jaine, Broomfield, Colorado; one sister, Nelda Rohbran, Clover, South Carolina; two grandchildren, Jennifer Waters and Scott Waters and wife, Brook; and one great-grandchild, Tyler Waters. She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Lynda Waters; and one brother, Jack E. Taylor. There will be a private service at a later date. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Memorials are requested to the Great Bend High School Scholarship Fund, in care of the funeral home.
