GREAT BEND Nora "Ann" Snow, 86, died Dec. 25, 2012 at Edwards County Life Care Unit in Kinsley. Born March 26, 1926 in Inola, Okla. she was the daughter of George and Gerty (Lilies) Hixson. On Aug. 22, 1948 she married William Edward Snow in Great Bend. He died on April 5, 1981. A resident of Ellinwood since 2008, coming from Great Bend, she was employed as a care provider and nanny. Mrs. Snow was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church in Great Bend. Survivors include a daughter, Suzanne Bishop, Kingston, Okla.; three sons, Scott Snow and Brian Snow, both of Ellinwood and Steve Snow, Great Bend; a brother, John Hixson, Rescue, Calif.; 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Obie Hixson, James Hixson, Ed Hixson, Edger Hixson, and George Hixson; and three sisters, Katy Findley, Dorothy Barnett, and Geneva Floyd. A graveside memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Jan. 3 at the Lyons District Cemetery with Karl Harmony officiating. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
