Moyne Warnken, 88, died September 4, 2008 at Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend, Kansas. She was born on January 26, 1920 at Nekoma, Kansas, the daughter of Albert and Mintie Guhl Seltmann. On January 26, 1941 she married Allen Marvin Warnken at Great Bend, Kansas. He died on November 13, 1996. She was a homemaker on the family farm. She was a resident of Great Bend, Kansas since 1941 coming from Nekoma, Kansas. Moyne was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary #646 at Great Bend. Survivors include two sons, Gordon Warnken and wife Jane of Hutchinson, Kansas and Kenny Warnken of Great Bend; a daughter, Verla Gorham of Valley Center, Kansas; a daughter-in-law, Laura Warnken Pivonka of Timken, Kansas; a sister, Juanita Olson of Houston, Texas; eight grandchildren, Rick Warnken, Lachele Greathouse, Brenda Barrett, Kim Gorham, Barbara Luikart, Teresa Hawkinson, Erik Warnken and Traci Brackbill and thirteen great-grandchildren. Moyne was preceded in death by a son, Roger Warnken, two brothers, Gilbert Seltmann and Donald Seltmann; a sister, Winona Smiley; two grandchildren, Todd Gorham and Sarah Gorham and a son-in-law, Nolan Gorham. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 8, 2008 at Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend, Kansas. Interment will be at the Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend, Kansas. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday, September 6, 2008 and Sunday, September 7, 2008 from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. with family to receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the Macular Degeneration Foundation in care of the funeral home.
