Mildred Irene Boepple, 96, died March 24, 2009 at Woodhaven Care Center, Ellinwood, Kansas. She was born May 18, 1912 at Covington, Oklahoma, the daughter of Jacob and Mabel (Casto) Beck. She married Julius Boepple November 23, 1932 at Douglas, Oklahoma. He died March 13, 1989. A homemaker, Mrs. Boepple was a resident of Great Bend, Kansas, since 1932, coming from Covington. Mrs. Boepple was a member of First Christian Church and Riverside HDU, Great Bend. Survivors include two daughters: Judith Elaine Piland and husband, Basil, Great Bend, Kansas; and Shirley LuAnn Bundy, Hutchinson, Kansas; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three infant sons, one infant daughter, and one granddaughter. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 27, 2009 at Bryant Funeral Home. The Reverend William F. Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 26, 2009 at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to Ronald McDonald House or First Christian Church Youth Fund, both in care of the funeral home.
