Michael Wayne Kirkman, 62, died June 7, 2013 at his home, Midwest City, Oklahoma. He was born November 6, 1950 at Great Bend, Kansas, the son of Wayne and Carolyn (Nowles) Kirkman. He married Gail Broadbooks on August 12, 1972 at Great Bend. They later divorced. A longtime Great Bend and Pratt, Kansas, resident, Mr. Kirkman lived in Midwest City for three years. He was an oilfield salesman for W. L. Kirkman, Inc., until his retirement. Survivors include three daughters: Heather McFann, Rozel, Kansas; Jennifer Kirkman, Houston, Texas; and Leslie Kirkman, Wichita, Kansas; one sister, Kathy Herman, Great Bend; four grandchildren: Alexis Kent, Hunter McFann, Blake Kirkman, and Bryli Brown; and his dog, Radar. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 14, 2013 at Bryant Funeral Home. The Reverend William F. Johnson will officiate. Inurnment will be in Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Bryant Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Michael Wayne Kirkman Funeral Expense Fund, in care of the funeral home.
