Merica Elaine Teichmann "Mickey", 87, died September 20,2007 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Great Bend, Kansas. Mickey was born on October 6, 1919 at Hoisington, Kansas, the daughter of Frank and Mary Krepps McGinnis. On August 16, 1937 she married Ellsworth D."Bud" Teichman at Great Bend, Kansas. He died on August 21, 1990. She was a homemaker and helped Ellsworth on the farm. She also was a school secretary, cook and driver for the Hudson School District retiring in 1986. She was a resident of Hudson, Kansas for 62 years coming from Boyd, Kansas. She was a member of Peace Church, Ladies Guild and EHU, all of Hudson. Survivors include a son, Larry Teichman and companion Rosie, of Great Bend; a daughter, Barbara Erb and husband Eugene, of Ness City, Kansas; a sister Mildred (Billie) Lambert, Lompoc, California; ten grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren. Mickey was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma (Lou) Dwyer. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, September 24, 2007 at Peace Church, Hudson, Kansas, with Pastor Wade Russell officiating. Interment will be at the Peace Cemetery, Hudson, Kansas. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, September 23, 2007 with family to receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and Monday, September 24, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. to Noon at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center or Donor's Choice in care of the funeral home.
