Mary Catherine Weeks, 83, died November 2, 2011 at her Hoisington, Kansas, residence. She was born January 5, 1928 at Dubuque, Kansas, the daughter of Henry and Philomena (Eckart) Casey. She married John E. Weeks June 4, 1947 at Dubuque. He died December 22, 1990. A Hoisington resident since 1952, coming from Russell and Ellinwood, Mrs. Weeks was an administrative assistant at Barton County Community College; office manager for Roxana Oil; and worked for Vernas Clothing Store, Hoisington. Mrs. Weeks was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the Altar Society, Hoisington. Survivors include four sons: Curtis Weeks and his wife Cherri, Milton, Georgia; Craig Weeks and his wife Shari, Burlingame, Kansas; Brent Weeks and his companion, Nicole Kaempfe, Wichita, Kansas; and Brian Weeks and his wife Karla, Salina, Kansas; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Casey; and two sisters, Vivian Cates and Loretta Ross. Vigil service and Altar Society Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 4, 2011 at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 5, 2011 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Father Francis Oroffa will be celebrant. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Memorials are requested to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, in care of the funeral home.
