Mary Katheryn "Pollie" Stalcup, 77, died February 28, 2009 at Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend, Kansas. She was born December 18, 1931 at South Haven, Kansas, the daughter of Herbert and Martha (Ruthrauff) Clevenger. She married Ralph Stalcup May 9, 1953 at Hutchinson, Kansas. Mrs. Stalcup was a homemaker and an active bridge player. She was a Great Bend resident since 1976, moving from Stafford County, Kansas. Mrs. Stalcup was a member of the First Christian Church, Great Bend. Survivors include her husband, Ralph Stalcup, of the home; two sons: Kevin Stalcup and wife, Diane, Great Bend, Kansas; and Richard Stalcup and wife, Kristy, Great Bend, Kansas; two daughters: Gia Scott and husband, Patrick, Victoria, Kansas; and Pollie Unruh, Great Bend, Kansas; one sister, Carolyn Kuhn and husband, John, Emporia, Kansas; ten grandchildren: Barry Stalcup, Kelli Myers, Matt Stalcup, Ashley Fugitt, Taree Dougherty, Amy Folkerts, Cade Scott, Kaley Auston, MacKenzie Unruh, and Madison Unruh; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at First Christian Church. The Reverend William F. Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 3, 2009, with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to the Ralph and Pollie Stalcup Family Scholarship Fund, in care of the funeral home.
