Mary Gunn, 97, died August 29, 2015, at Woodhaven Care Center in Ellinwood. Born February 24, 1918, she was the daughter of Adrian and Elyse (Bendel) Goodman. She was a graduate of the University of Southern California. On October 23, 1939, she married Richard J. Gunn in Los Angeles, Calif. He died on September 29, 1999. She was the co-owner of Gunn Clothing and Bridal. She was an avid bridge player. Mrs. Gunn was a member of the First Congregational Church for 75 years, PEO, Athenian, Panhellenic and EHU. Survivors include three sons, Bill (Kay) Gunn, Bob (Loretta) Gunn and Lyle (Cheryl) Gunn; two daughters, Kathy (Bob) Lawrence, and Rosemary (Chris) Clark; one brother, Adrian B. Goodman; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son Joseph. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at the First Congregational United Church of Church. A private family inurnment will be held at the Great Bend Cemetery. A memorial has been established with the First Congregational Church. Contributions may be left at Bryant Funeral Home.
