Martha Weller Oehlert, 58, died April 16, 2010 at her home, Great Bend, Kansas. She was born September 16, 1951 at Great Bend, the daughter of Dale Henry and Dorothy Elaine (Steed) Weller. She was a Great Bend High School graduate with the class of 1969. She then graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in journalism in 1973. She married Ron Oehlert February 2, 1994 at Hutchinson, Kansas. A homemaker, Mrs. Oehlert lived ten years in Haven, Kansas, and in California and Florida, but preferred Kansas. She came back to Great Bend in 2004. Survivors include her husband, Ron Oehlert, of the home; one brother, Matthew Weller and wife Marcia, Salina, Kansas; one nephew, Stephen Weller and wife Rebecca, McPherson, Kansas; one uncle; and many cousins. Memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Bryant Funeral Home with the Reverend Robert Ulrich officiating. Memorials are requested to the Golden Belt Humane Society, in care of the funeral home.
