Martha M. Margheim, 85, died April 3, 2008 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Great Bend, Kansas. She was born February 28, 1923 at Otis, Kansas, the daughter of John and Mary Brack. She married Rudolph Margheim June 9, 1940 at Hutchinson, Kansas. He died February 14, 1988. Mrs. Margheim was a homemaker and waitress and was a lifetime Hoisington, Kansas, resident. Mrs. Margheim was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and always volunteered her help with Meals on Wheels, the Food Bank and other organizations, all in Hoisington. She was baptized June 10, 1923. Survivors include one son, Doran Margheim, Hoisington, Kansas; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Margheim; two brothers, Harry Brack and Lester Brack; and two sisters, Verna Schneider and Dora Brack. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, with Vicar David Rosales officiating. Burial will be in Hoisington Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 8, 2008, and from 9:00 a.m. to service time, Wednesday, April 9, 2008. Memorials in Mrs. Margheim's memory are suggested to South Wind Hospice, in care of the funeral home.
