Marion Elaine Pugh, 97, passed away on December 14, 2022, at Stafford County Hospital in Stafford, Kan. She was born on January 25, 1925 in Chase, Kan. to William and Julia (Gockstetter) Revel. On January 14, 1943, she married Roy Arthur "Art" Pugh in Chase, Kan. He passed on October 6, 2005.

An area resident since 1946, Elaine worked as telephone operator in her younger years before becoming a homemaker. She was a very accomplished artist, especially in oil painting, sharing her talent through teaching art at the Great Bend Rec Center, Art Inc., Barton Community College, and the Cabin, and enjoyed her garden.

Survivors include a son, Randy Pugh of Stafford, Kan.; two daughters, Diane Adams of Mulvane, Kan., and Lexie (Mike) Weiser of Salina, Kan.; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband; a son, Rodney Pugh; a grandson, Christopher Pugh; her parents; six brothers, Willis, Glen, Stanley, Wade, Donnie, and Ronnie Revel; and a sister, Bonnie Frazier.

Visitation will take place from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Bryant Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, December 19, 2022 at Bryant Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Vandenburg presiding. Interment will follow at Great Bend Cemetery. Memorials have been designated to the Shafer Art Gallery, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
