Marilyn J. (Korf) Davis, age 65, died Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. She was born May 30, 1948 at Great Bend, Kansas the daughter of Charles and Bertha (Alexander) Korf. Marilyn was a lifetime Hoisington, Kansas resident graduating from Hoisington High School and Barton County Community College. She was a longtime employee of State Farm Insurance of Great Bend and most recently worked at the Women's Recovery Center in Hoisington. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Hoisington and enjoyed playing dominoes, weekend trips, animals, and spending time with her grandchildren. On January 23, 1967 she married Everett Davis in Hoisington, Kansas. Survivors include her ex-husband Everett Davis of Hoisington, Kansas; three sons, Bob Davis and wife Gina of Garden Plain, Kansas, Mike Davis and wife Melissa of Hoisington, Kansas, Kevin Davis of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one daughter, Kathy Davis of Iola, Wisconsin; one brother, Bob Korf of Nickerson, Kansas; one sister, Anita Shives of Evanston, Wyoming and six grandchildren, Danny Davis, Alex Davis, Daegan Davis, Liam Sidman, Kayla Sidman, and Danielle Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Gary Korf. Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2013 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Hoisington, Kansas with Father Francis Oroffa as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. John Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, June 7, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 6;00 until 8:00 p.m. at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home in Hoisington, Kansas.
