Marie Schank, 92, died November 29, 2012 at her home in Great Bend, Kansas, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Horacek) Nepereny. She married John W. Schank September 14, 1937 at Wichita, Kansas. He died March 5, 1966. Marie was a Great Bend, Kansas resident since 1972 coming from Hays, Kansas. She was a tax clerk for the Barton County Treasurer's Office, retiring in 1986. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star and Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary. Survivors include two daughters: Patricia Hluzek of Sun City, Arizona; Karen Schank of Great Bend and one sister: Anna Cipra of Romeoville, Illinois; She was preceded in death by one son, Infant William Schank; and six brothers, Josef Nepereny, Bohumil Nepereny, James Nepereny, Ed Nepereny, Adolph Nepereny, and Frank Nepereny. Funeral service with Order of Eastern Star Service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Bryant Funeral Home with the Reverend John Grummon officiating. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 4, 2012. Memorials are requested to Order of Eastern Star, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
