Maria De La Luz Martinez Salgado, 52, passed away January 27, 2026, in Great Bend, Kansas.
Maria De La Luz Martinez Salgado was a loving mother, grandmother, and faithful servant of God. Born in El Ojo De Agua,Tonatico, Mexico, she was the cherished daughter of Jose Martinez Malvaes and Alicia Salgado Rosas. Maria lived a life guided by love, sacrifice, and deep devotion to her family and faith.
In her younger years, Maria enjoyed sports and was a passionate soccer fan. She was known for her wonderful cooking, her nurturing spirit, and her love of spending time and traveling with family.
Maria also shared a meaningful and loving relationship with Bernardo Galvan, who stood by her side with constant support and care.
A woman of faith, Maria trusted in God throughout her life. Though our hearts ache at her passing, we find comfort in knowing she now rests in the arms of the Lord. Her love, strength, and faith will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew her. This is not goodbye, it's see you later.
She was a proud mother to her five sons: Juan Daniel Ramirez Martinez, Erick Ramirez Martinez, Edgar David Ramirez, Jobany Ramirez, and Jonathan Ramirez. Maria's greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother, and she gave her heart fully to those she loved. She was a devoted grandmother to Daniel Antoni Ramirez Garay and Luka Joaquin Ramirez Garay, children of Juan Daniel Ramirez and Lucy Garay; Emmalyn Luna Ramirez Bustillos, daughter of Erick Ramirez Martinez and Byanca Bustillos; and True Carter Ramirez Aleman and Mia Ramirez Aleman, children of Edgar Ramirez and Janelly Aleman.
