Margaret Mary "Marge" Hitschmann, 83, died Dec. 13, at Woodhaven Care Center in Ellinwood. Born Nov. 26, 1931 in Beaver, she was the daughter of John and Margaret (Boor) Schneweis. On April 3, 1951, she married Everett Hitschmann in Beaver. A lifetime resident of the Redwing area, she was employed by Town and Country Market and the Cardinal Pharmacy. Mrs. Hitschmann was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church and the Altar Society, both of Odin. She was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Beaver. Survivors include her husband, Everett Hitschmann, of the home; two sons, Randy Hitschmann and his wife Stacey of Beaver, and Mick Hitschmann and his wife Carla of Odin; one daughter, Carla Shaw and her husband John of Bayfield, Colo.; three brothers, Francis Schneweis of Guymon, Okla., Gerald "Jack" Schneweis of Beaver, and Herman "Butch" Schneweis of Hoisington; five sisters, Dorothy Maneth, Bernice Huslig and Mary Lou Stewart, all of Great Bend, Rita Klug of Hoisington, and Judy Nimmo of Emett, Idaho; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one great grandson, Aiden Riddle; and a brother, Leo Schneweis. Mass service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Odin with Father Fr. (Louis) Trung Dinh Hoang officiating. Interment will be at the St. Joseph Cemetery in Beaver. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, with vigil and Rosary at 7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Claflin Ambulance Service or Golden Belt Home Health Hospice in care of the funeral home.
