Margaret M. "Marge" Steiner, 74, died January 10, 2009 at her Overland Park, Kansas, residence. She was born October 25, 1934 at Great Bend, Kansas, the daughter of Joseph and Theresia (Bahr) Schneider. She married Harold L. Steiner on October 25, 1954 at Great Bend. He died April 23, 1996. Mrs. Steiner was the former owner and operator of the Redwing General Store. A lifelong resident of the Redwing and Olmitz area, she lived the last fifteen years in Overland Park. Mrs. Steiner was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella, Lenexa, Kansas. Survivors include four daughters: Janell Meyer and husband, George, Evergreen, Colorado; Jennifer Truman and husband, Michael, Hutchinson, Kansas; Theresia Scoville and husband, Bret, Centerville, Virginia; and Marla Sessoms, Charlotte, North Carolina; one sister, Rose Dietz, Redwing, Kansas; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers: Michael, Marion, Raymond, and Joseph Schneider. Vigil Service will be at 7:00 p.m., Monday, January 12, 2009 at Bryant Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at St. Ann Catholic Church, Olmitz. Father Ultan Murphy will be celebrant. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., Monday, January 12, 2009 at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, in care of the funeral home.
