Margaret E. Archer, 84, died August 2, 2012 at Cherry Village Nursing Home, Great Bend, Kansas. She was born February 9, 1928 at St. Mary's, Kansas, the daughter of Thomas and Theresa (Pheifer) Seitz. She married William E. Archer at Great Bend. He died April 19, 1998. A Barton County resident for most of her life, Mrs. Archer was a homemaker and a caregiver. Mrs. Archer was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Altar Society, Eagles Auxiliary, and VFW Post 3111 Auxiliary. Survivors include one son, Edson Dean Archer and his wife Linda, Valley Center, Kansas; one daughter, Theresa Marie Depperschmidt and her husband James, Sylvia, Kansas; one brother, Norbert Seitz, Omaha, Nebraska; six grandchildren: Jennifer Gunder, Thomas Depperschmidt, Emma Albert, Christina Bennett, Grace Reyes, and Holly Suarez; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Jo Ann Bradshaw; and two brothers, Elmer Seitz and Thomas Seitz, Jr. Altar Society Rosary will be at 4:00 p.m., and Vigil Service will be at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Bryant Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Bryant Funeral Home with Father Reginald A. Urban officiating. Burial will be in Golden Belt Memorial Park, Great Bend. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home.
