Marcus Boger, 99, died May 1, 2010 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Great Bend, Kansas. He was born February 21, 1911 at Hoisington, Kansas, the son of Abraham and Lydia (Radke) Boger. He married Edna F. Van Fossen in 1934 at Great Bend. She died November 17, 2008. A lifetime resident of rural Hoisington, living the past five years in Great Bend, he was a retired farmer. Mr. Boger was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Hoisington. Survivors include two sons: Marcus L. Boger and wife Pam and Lloyd W. Boger and wife Gerry, all of Great Bend, Kansas; one sister, Dr. Ema Davis, Mobile, Alabama; nephew, Romer Lee Stafford, Wichita, Kansas; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Lucas Boger and one sister, Emily Stafford. A memorial service will be held at a later date with inurnment in Hoisington Cemetery. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are suggested to the Donor's Choice, in care of Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home.
