Madalene D. Oliver 79, died July 20, 2007 at Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend. She was born November 27, 1927 in Towanda, KS, the daughter of Roy Glen and Iva Baker Mosier. A longtime resident of Great Bend, she was a housewife and mother and had been an R.N. for Dr. A.W. Beahm and Dr. M.M. Swan. She was a member of First Christian Church, serving on various church committees. On January 14, 1952 she married James "Jim" Oliver in Great Bend. He survives. Other survivors include, 3 daughters, Jan Stegelman and husband, Stan, Topeka, Nancy Crane and husband, Mark, Wichita, and Linda Chisholm and husband Scott, Great Bend; 8 Grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend with the Reverend William F. Johnson presiding. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Great Bend Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the Safe Kids Kansas in care of the funeral home.
