Lucy Younger, 83, died March 2, 2010 at her Great Bend, Kansas, residence. She was born May 7, 1926 at Marienthal, Kansas, the daughter of John F. and Magdalena (Dreher) Younger. She worked for United Airlines doing food preparation. Miss Younger was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Altar Society. Survivors include one sister, Cecilia Steffan, Great Bend, Kansas; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank Younger, Anthony Younger, and Felix Younger; and three sisters: Sr. Margaret Younger, Elizabeth Hacker, and Sr. Mary Barbara Younger. Memorial Mass will be at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, March 13, 2010 at St. Ann Catholic Church, Olmitz, Kansas. Father Ultan Murphy will be celebrant. Inurnment will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 13, 2010 at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Marienthal. Friends may sign the register book from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday, March 12, 2010 at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to the Holy Family School Endowment Fund or the Prince of Peace Parish, both in care of the funeral home.
