Lucille Ann Quigg, 87, died April 6, 2009 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Great Bend, Kansas. She was born September 19, 1921 at Redwing, Kansas, the daughter of Joseph and Louise (Frenzel) Schremmer. She married Howard Joseph Quigg November 30, 1959 at Albuquerque, New Mexico. He died January 4, 1999. A lifetime area resident, Mrs. Quigg was a former department store clerk for Montgomery Ward and T G & Y. Mrs. Quigg was a member of Eastside Baptist Church, a Senior Center volunteer, and had an active interest in Shriners and Masonic activities. Survivors include two sons: Patrick Quigg, Wichita, Kansas; and Michael Quigg and wife, Lydia, Mercedes, Texas; one brother, Wilfred Schremmer and wife, Cecilia, Great Bend, Kansas; and one sister, Gladys Klug, Great Bend, Kansas. She was preceded in death by four brothers, infant Thomas Schremmer; Joe Schremmer and wife, Teresa; Victor Schremmer and wife, Katie; and Oscar Schremmer; two sisters, Louise Gerstenkorn and husband, Phillip; and Eleanor Steiner and husband, Julius; and one brother-in-law, Edward Klug. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 9, 2009 at Bryant Funeral Home. The Reverend Michael Prescott will officiate. Inurnment will be in Great Bend Cemetery. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials in Mrs. Quigg's name have been established with Eastside Baptist Church or Great Bend Senior Center, both in care of the funeral home.
