Lucile M. Uden, 93, died June 10, 2007 at Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend, Kansas. She was born March 17, 1914, at Great Bend, Kansas, the daughter of Samuel and Margaret Hall Eitel. On June 4, 1940 she married Henry Lee Uden at Great Bend, Kansas. He died on March 16, 1980. She was a lifetime resident of Great Bend. She was a secretary for U.S.D. 428, Great Bend. Mrs. Uden was a member of the Central Baptist Church and Cosmopolitan Study Club, both of Great Bend, Kansas Association of School Personnel and Barton County Retired Teachers Association. Survivors include: two sons, Lanny L. Uden and wife Martie of Lenexa, Kansas and Douglas R. Uden and wife Anita of New Port Richey, Florida; five grandchildren, Jeffrey Lee Uden and wife Angie, Jayme Uden and wife Beth, Jennifer Uden, Kathleen Cooley and husband Cason and Scott Uden and one great-grandchild, Miami Niederjohn and two great-grandchildren due very soon. She was preceded in death by one brother, Samuel Eitel and three sisters, Flora Erickson, Juanita Knupp and Jeanette Eitel. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 15, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at the Central Baptist Church, Great Bend, Kansas with Pastor John Grummon officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2007 from Noon to 9:00 p.m. and Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the Central Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
